Alpine iDA-X100 - No sound when headlights are on

I just installed my Alpine iDA-X100 receiver and I love it. But the problem I'm having with it is that their is no sound when I have my headlights on. I'd have to say a safe bet would be an issue with the illumination wire, but I dont want to snip it without figuring out the issue with it. Has anyone else had this issue or know of any resolutions without just cutting the wire?

Update: I unhooked the orange dimmer wire and still have the same problem.

Check ur remote?

Does the amp stay on when the light are on?

I do not have an amp, im just hooked into the factory speakers with a wiring harness.

Ahh, ok. I read wrong...

Something is misconnected. You need to go back and check your wiring connections. Read the install manual carefully and make sure all your connections are going to the right places.
Curious...is the blue remote wire connected to anything? It should not be.
Let us know how you made out.
