!!!HELP!!! CD5000 not working right

so i got a CD5000 in the mail today (used but not supposed to be DOA) and when i went to hook it up... as soon as i connect the power wires (ACC and memory) i hear the CD mechanisim inside make a noise like its trying to read the CD, it does this twice and then the HU makes a beep, after this the speakers all make static


also, the display never comes on at all and none of the buttons have any response???


any ideas?

got the illumination wire hooked up? The ESN security isn't enabled is it?

i tried with and without it hooked up

i dont think so but if it was wouldnt the screen just say call 800?
