Spend a couple of extra buck and get an Alpine CDA-9887. It has a lot of features that will allow you to upgrade later, if you feel the need. They're usually $329.99.

I'm a pioneer fan...went through a few kenwoods that i didn't really like

both listed offer USB so I'd guess thats why those are his choices.

I havent had experience with the X but I did like the 6900. The 690 is suppose to be better and can be had for $180.
