Single din units are available with a lot more features, specifically processing. Good luck finding a double din that has the ability to go active, for example.

single din for more eq/x-over ability. DD for looks. I will be going to a double din soon more than likely because nobody makes a single din kit for my truck that doesn't look like donkey ****.

Double din I think theres anough options in a good model to have it looking so good!
