pls help headunit is acting up

hello guys i have a kenwood double din headunit and everytime i turn the volume up it would turn off then turn back on. Two days ago the headunit was saying PROTECTION. what could be the problem ? alternator or battery? or what?
pls help thanks

negative wire is touching positive on one of your speakers, i learned that when i was about 10 and my home stereo kept doing the same thing, only took me like a week to find the problem haha. but yeah check for that

i already checked the wirings they are not touching at all. so what else could it be guys? thanks

well its going into protection so it doesnt burn itself up.. something is wired wrong bro..
