hu cuts off

ok so my hu is a kenwood and it just keeps cutting on and off randomly not even hitting a bump or anything.i can sit still and it will just cut off. what could it be i don' think it's wiring i have checked and redone my wiring three times and even had my friend check it. what could it be.also if i disconnect my batt for like 15 secs and reset my hu it stops for awhile.

Is the car running when it shuts off? Sometimes when my car's off the Alpine will shut off due as a feature. Means it's not getting enough power. Also, check for loose connections... power and ground

it does it running too and i have two batts sometimes it'll shut off for like 10 mins then just cut on and not do it for days then start again

Sounds like a bad HU... time to get rid of that Kenwood.

make sure any unused RCA inputs are covered, they could be shorting out the deck if they aren't. You can also try a new ground

I had a similar problem with my old eXcelon. Long story short the harness plug in the back of the radio just never clipped in place tight enough, so I used a wooden shim to hold it in place tighter and problem solved. I just used one on the bottom to hold the plug up in place and so it couldn't wiggle around.
