my alpine HU only has a 2volt preamp. i want to buy a linedriver . is this one good?

also with this can i turn my volume down and still get the same loudness. instead of running at like 26/35 i can run at 20/35 on my HU and still keep the gain low cuz it has a 8v preamp? maily because i have to turn my volume up because my hu has ****** voltage.

what about this cheapo one. it just sounds cleaner at lower volumes but i ahv to crank the gain cuz the preamp *****. also can these line drivers distort?
