What will i need to install this Headunit

i just purchased this alpine hu off of ebay, and was curious what all i will need to hook it up.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...8315&rd=1&rd=1

it will be going in a 02 explorer with the regular ford factory headunit. Do they make quick connects or something that i can just snap in, and what do i do since my headunit is a double din? What else will i need?

ull need a wiring harness made for the year of your car
u can find em on ebay or at a local audio shop

another handy thing to have are butt connectors for connecting the wires, but you can just use electrical tape

sweet, so just check on ebay for them? Do i need a specific one for alpine, or are they universal? Also, already have the butt connectors, and i also plan on going over them with electical tape.

What do you mean by "regular". What level trim is your explorer. For 98% of people, the answers people have already given are right. You can go to www.cardomain.com and put in your vehicle in the fit guide and then look for your dash and wiring kit and it should give you the right one, if you don't have an upgraded radio.

XLT, its the basic cd player that came with the 3rd gens, single disc with tape deck. Not 6-in-dash and no subwoofer. (but im fixing that problem...)

Re: What will i need to install this Headunit

what else you need to know?

get a wiring harness for your expo and dash kit.

use your butt connectors to hook up the harness to all the wires then hook it up
