    Icon32 Pioneer DEH-880PRS

Does anyone have any experience with this deck? Im just looking for a deck that wont skip and has some nice features.

Im also wondering if it has an internal xover? Im going to be running 18s, 8,s 6.5s, and tweeters and they all need to be xedover accordingly. Does it have a nice xover with it?

it has a ****** crossover, and once u learn to use it, its easy.

itll cross ur eminence over just fine.

not sure if it skips, ill be using mine with an ipod only, so i wont have those issues if they DO skip...

    hit me up on aim.

I'm pretty sure you want a 4 way crossover system...

The 880 only has a 3 way if I remember right...

Useless for YOUR needs without an outboard processor. And, no one has ever used one of these...........

This is what i was asking about. Would the crossover be ample? Is it just a 3 way? And will i need a 4 way for the equipment ill be running? I could just do all 6.5s instead of 6.5s and 8s if it only has a 3 way.

I also would probably run the same freq range to the 6.5s and 8s... So i think a 3 way would be sufficient.

Uhh You DO NOT want to run the 6.5 and the 8's in the same frequency range...

You will need a 4-way crossover system..

    Low-pass for subs
    Low-pass High-Pass for 8's
    Low-Pass High-Pass for 6.5's
and a High-Pass for the Tweeters...

So a 4-Way system is needed...

Gah... just run 2 way active or just get the unit and hook it up to an outboard processor.

im running the same to my 6.5's and 10's, and i can fine tune them seperatly with the amps powering them. (amps have crossovers as well)

itll be good enough for your setup.

dont need a 4 way crossover....3 will be just fine. like me, hes not going for SQ, hes going for straight up loud *** mids and highs. many people have done it before, itll be find crossed the same, the 6's and the 8's almost sound the same anyways, as far as the frequencies they play. neither have any midbass.

Then there's no point in getting the 880. Just get any HU. It seems he wants to run ACTIVE, cannot run 6.5's and 8's AND a sub off the active crossover.

You guys go deaf with your loud *** ****** sound, and I'll go deaf with my loud as QUALITY sound.
