    Eclipse 5435 question

    I was talking to a friend of mine today, and I'm looking to purchase the 5435. It has navi/dvd on it, but he said that you can't bypass it, I just wanted to see if anyone knows if this unit can be bypassed. Greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Your friend is severely mistaken. Its just a simple grounding of the ebrake wire.

    Why are you buying a unit so old? Good deal or used?

    it's the avn-5435.. is it that old? lol but yeah, im getting that unit for 600. is it a good deal? its the double din one..

    Its a good price, but yes...came out early '05 and was done in late '05
