this deck came out a few years back. I was wondering if it ever had any good feedback. I seen a guy with this deck in a honda civic and it had a flip out tray mechanism.

WRONG... I had a M7815X that ran perfectly for 2 and a 1/2 years without a hatch. Still got it as my backup deck in the closet as a matter of fact.

I worked as an installer at Circuit City and pretty much the only CD players that came back were Sonys because they were f'd up.

my friend bought a Sony headunit one time, it played but overheated after 30 minutes, same with the Sony 4X6's he had bought 2 4 it lol

I don't doubt that those are garbage. But their upper line HUs like the 7 series and above are pretty good budget units. Got mine for $140... Nice little unit to be a first HU. Nothing pioneer or alpine can compete for that price.
