looking for a head unit with usb.
    anyone have recommendations?

does anyone know anything about a maximum memory capacity for a usb device?
i'm planning on filling up a 160gig usb hdd with mp3 and connect it to head unit...
or is there a maximum file number limit?

Pioneer 6900ub - Premier 690ub. Looks like they haven't hit the shelves yet.

    Re: Head Unit - USB

Eclipse rep says that the CD7100 will only read up to 1GB off a HD or thumbdrive. We used to sell a JVC at work that had a USB on the front and it was able to read 4GB. So yes, there are (rather low) capacities that HU's can read. Best bet would be to contact the manufacturer of each product you have interest in.

As far as recc... didnt care for the JVC we had. It was nice having the USB and all, but not much in the audio control side of things. That's really the only one I've had the chance of working with.
