im about 90% sure i saw a thread on this, search pioneer 880 and you'll come up with alot of info and comparison threads for the 880prs
thank cham i'v read alot of info about p880 .. want to know more about comparison between these tow decks . please help!

A properly tuned 880 > all (in its price range).
A guy at work bought the 9835 from Best Buy. After hearing my 880 he asked, "Why don't they sell sell these at BB?" I just laughed and said I dunno.
His sounded decent on Type-R coax's all around on a 50x4 amp. I really can't give you a head to head.

HU: Pioneer Premier 880PRS
Comps: Crystal Mobilesound SSCS 6
Comp Amp: LA S2.500--150w x2
Sub: Diamond Audio D3 10
Sub Amp: RF P3001--375w x1
You can use both in an active mode with alot of crossover options. The 880 has a couple more tuning options and a bigger equalizer. I think it would be in your best interest to go for the 880. Not only because its a slightly better unit, but because it will be new for the same price. Unless you're rich, its not really a good idea to shell out that much money on something that has been used awhile. Not to mention that when you buy a used head unit its gonna have scratches and worn out paint 9 times out of 10.
Depends on what you're comfortable with...
The 880 has some neat features that the '35 doesn't have, like AutoEQ/TA.
But the 9835 never had the quality control issues that plagued the 880.
Pioneer, I guess?Where did that come from??
I only speak from the people I've known that have had issues, and the noise issues reported on this board...both people I know locally that have bought one had to return them to get fixed.
Yeah there were some issues with Pioneer preouts making noises back when it was called the 8600/860mp. The 2006+ Pioneer units dont have this problem. Just make sure everything is properly grounded.
