Has anyone used the Alpine PRE-H090 noise cancellation device? I have a CDA-9857/PXA-H701/Eclipse XA-4000/Eclipse XA-1000. Iget some hiss and alternator noise. Does this unit work as the old soungate item and cancel noise in the system?

i've heard of people w/ the h701 having noise problems, but when they change from analog to digital the noise goes away. but in your case, i'm guessing you cannot run digital w/ the equipment you have. so maybe you can try to tinker w/ your grounds. or reroute your RCAs.
The 701 is in the trunk like 2ft from the amp so the RCAs are very short, and I am using high quality monster cable RCA's. The Ai-net is ran down the center of the car and the power wire down the passenger side. The speaker wires and power wire only cross at 90 degree angles and do nor run parellel to each other, do not get it!

Maybe try grounding everything (all components) in your system to 1 central grounding point?? That includes your head unit, processor and amps all to the same place. I had problems a long way back and that solved my problem. Since then I've always done it that way.
