Headunit capable of replicating iPod menus?

I was planning on buying a Pioneer DEH-P7800MP with the Pioneer CD-IB100II iPod interface.

I know it outputs controls to the headunit, however, is the output on the headunit the same as on the iPod. Example: Scrolling through the artists in alphabetical order like they are on the iPod?

If not, is there a headunit that displays the iPod in the headunit like it displays on the iPod, or do they all have their own interfaces where you have to scroll through all the songs?

    Thanks.

My alpine 9857 scrolls and works just like the i-pod, couldnt be easier. I dont know about other brands but they should do the same.

How do you have your iPod connected? Do you like it? Can you turn it up to high volumes without distortion?

Take a look at the Pioneer DEH6800MP. that is the HU i have, and i believe it was designed around the ipod interface. Very few buttons on the face itself, and the dominating feature on the face is a Rotary Commander, which is supposed to replicate the ipod clickwheel. I have been told that this is a very nice HU to use when using an ipod. Not sure if this is true, as i do not own an ipod, but it's what i have heard and read. Good luck!

BTW, here is a link to the HU i mentioned:

Re: Headunit capable of replicating iPod menus?

My alpine uses the volume knob as the rotary tuner and it has its own special buttons for the menu of the i pod. Its just as easy as the i pod. With the 420 adapter the sound quality is the same. Way better than the radio station tuner thing you can buy. I have around 5000 songs on my i pod, amazing tech!
