KDC-X979 vs. CDA-9813

Which would u choose for an overall solid build? They both have more than enough features so thats really not an issue for me lol.

I'll say the X979. 1 because I'm inarguably a fan of the eXcelon stuff and 2 because it has inbuilt processing for 5.1 should you ever decide to do a mobile theater setup.

Possibly the nicest (as far as features go) eXcelon ever made.

i think i'd rather the alpine over the kenwood... but i have to say i'm biased, since i havent listened to this kenwood... but their products have great SQ aswell

what lead you to that choice? did you tried both in person and decided which was better to you, or have you just searched opinions on the internet to find out?

im curious to know how the alpine performed compared to the kenwood?

I would have gone with the eXcelon as well. Good choice.

Well there were alot of factors considering I was buying off ebay and they were used...The person who was selling the alpine took too long to email me back and the guy who was selling the Kenwood answered ALL my questions and then some! Another factor was the power wire I would of had to run from the HU to the batt if I went with the Alpine...wasnt really talkin bout that. The Kenwood was also used for a lesser amount of time. I figure their both solid decks so I wouldnt had went wrong either way.

you wouldn't have to wire it directly to your battery if you use an amplifier connected it...
