Project Double din LS

Well unfortuantly havent seen any aftermarket Double din coversion kits for LS. So I saw on a site a guy bought a ford explorer double din conversion kit and a LS single din and shaved / cut down the LS one until it fit into the Explore one. He then expoxied the 2 together sanded and used factory paint **** came out pretty clean thinking about doing it any suggestions?? Heres a picture....

Make a conversion kit. Can't be too hard. Make for a fun project.
