Pioneer CD-IB100ii question

ok so right now i have a Pioneer 860mp with the Pioneer CD-IB100 ipod adapter, i HATE the sound quality and slow scrolling speed with the ipod connection.


has the Pioneer CD-IB100ii (2nd generation pioneer ipod adapter) improved sound quality and/or ease of use from the origional, ive heard that scrolling speed has improved and its a way better unit.


can i use it with my 860mp or do i have to buy a newer pioneer, such as the 780, 880prs or 980bt?

i'll tell ya i have the ib100II with the 880 and the speed is close to ipod speed unless you try scrolling really fast then you gotta wait a few seconds. 3 lines at a time. to me, the quality was just as good as the cd's i play off the deck as well. i never used it with my 860 nor did i have the ib100 adapter as i didn't have an ipod at that time. also, it should say which decks it's compatible with on pioneer's website.

I have it, it does goes a little slow, but still quick enough. And the sound quality is A+ I don't even use cds anymore.

I have the new adapter with a 9800. the sound quality is as good as the MP3 that was recorded, so generally great.

the speed is just fine for me... Its not the fastest thing in the world if I scroll really fast to get to say.... 'P' then it'll take a few seconds but nothing I'd really complain about.....

sq sounds great to me just make sure the the bit rate is high for the mp3's and the speed is above average i wish it was a tad faster..
