Head unit is doing strange things, help?

I hooked a temp 130$ jensen head unit up to my beater car today, and I can't figure out why it won't work.

It won't turn on and stay on, but it will eject cds and take them then turn off (turns on to do that, but won't turn on any other way)

any ideas? it was hooked up in the truck i just bought, and worked fine in there, so anyone know what i could have done wrong?

Are you sure the accessory wire is hooked up properly?

If it is (or looks like it is), to troubleshoot it, hook it up to the constant line along with the other wire, and it should work then.
