Which of these Pioneer HU do you prefer?

Haven't looked at any other brand to be honest. Just took a look at Pioneer since I know they are good for HU (indash atleast).

Eclipse screens are the best, and they already work while driving, no need to ground to the parking brake etc.

and also IMHO double dins just look better much clenaer looking install, and alot less motorized parts to break

It sure is easy when you don't have to pay room, board and bills. I recognize that I have a lot of nice stuff, but I also recognize the fact that next year I will be a poor, starving college student. Just my $0.02...

I have a D1, i dont care about the DVD stuff, so this was the hu for me. nav is great, sounds great, its bypassed, i have no complaints. I got the Pac steering wheel adapter for pioneer, that works well. Only think i wish it had was RDS for the radio.

The D2 is coming out in a few weeks tho. the ONLY difference I've heard between the d1 and d2 is the maps are updated.

Eclipse's have the crappiest menu's. I wouldnt want one of their flip outs.
Alpine has the best monitors.
Pioneer for sound.

yup, double dins do look alot better. I had the pioneer AVH-p5700DVD flip out and when installed was wanting the D1. the only problem with the D1 is that it doesn't play DVD's. I'm also a big pioneer fan for HU's. but alpine did finally come out with a double din this year, so I would get that one if i were u (it plays DVD's) (but you have to pay more to add navigation). plus u get bluetooth wich is sweet if you have a bluetooth cell phone. here's the site:
