Opinion on clarion 845?

I am thinking of picking up a leftover dxz845mc. Does anyone have any experience with or opinions on this Head Unit?

How much are you getting that for?? Crutchfield has some leftover 945s for $450.

I am looking at getting one for around $200-$225. Thanks for the tip on the 945. I will check it out also.

Well a 845 for 225 would be alot nicer bang for the buck than a $450 945 would be.



BTW......Both of these units are very nice and you can't really go wrong with either.

I have had mine for a few months now and have been extremely pleased. The only thing about it is some of the controles are a little tricky to get used too. Also in the day time, the display is kinda hard to see. But It sounds great. I would recomend!!

i have the 745 and i really like mine i think you would be happy with the 845

I have been comparing it to the 855 and it looks like pretty much the only thing I would be giving up are the touchscreen and full color display.And oh yeah does anyone know if the 845 has the same 24 bit processor as the 855?

The 845 does not have the Digital 24-bit DAC. Sorry to tell you that. Only the 945 and 745 do. Why the 845 does not, I really don't know. My guess is it's due to the Music Catcher deal.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Looking at the 745 and 845 it looks like the 745 actually offers more than the 845 in SQ. It just doesn't have the music catcher. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
