Well...considering eXcelon is Kenwood's top-shelf gear whereas Premier is a Pioneer product...

The 25th Anniversary edition eXcelon gear is supposed to be a cut above the regular eXcelon ~ nice specs from what I've read but I have no hands-on experience so I cannot say for certain.

Kenwood makes good headunits and amplifiers(the Excelon amps are a little over priced), their speakers leave alot to be desired in my opinion though (they do have some good sounding subs but they are way overpriced for what they do).
Pioneer makes good headunits, amplifiers(overpriced though), subwoofers and components (I don't like their coaxial speakers though)
