correct me if im wrong but you're comparing 2 totally different HU's.. 8454 was the top of line of Eclipse and costed much more than the 9815

Through authorized dealers, I believe the prices were pretty similar($550-$600). The 9815 was top of the line for its year(03 maybe?)...except for the bazillion dollar F1 Status.
I would take the Eclipse. There were still complaints by some regarding the 9815's pre outs being weak. Plus, I just think Eclipse makes a better sounding deck.
The best thing for anyone to do is check out both(if possible) and go from there.

Definately go 8454 over the 9515. The overall "natural" SQ of the Ecplise is much better.
