    Jvc Kd-ar7000

I read a review on a JVC KD-AR7000 and thought it was a nice upgrade to replace my Jensen CD615X. To be honest, what I really dig is the cool display (it comes with software to upload your own pictures.
Now I search the 'net looking for one and found they were discontinued! Does anyone know why? Is there a new one with a display like this one? The reason I was wondering why it was discontinued I thought if it's a quality issue I will steer clear of JVC.
    Help!!!

JVC shows that they still make em on their web site.

I have used the deck before and thought that it was pretty nice.
I can't speak for its long term reliability though as I simply havn't used it long enough, I have never seen or heard of one breaking down though.

-Thanx for the info stones, based on that info I think I will try to get hold of one... in a review they said you could 'upload' your own photos, that might be cool!

    Re: Jvc Kd-ar7000

The KD-AR7000 IS discontinued, it was a 2004 model (there may be leftover stock somewhere??), the replacement is the KD-AR7500 and it is a little nicer, also it has an SD card slot (it even comes with an 8mb card)

Both units have whats called "PICT" which is JVC's image software to download screensavers. However on the 7000 you have to burn the programs onto a disc and download it into the HU, on the 7500 you can do it all with the SD card, and if im not mistaken you can also download mp3's onto the SD card and play those. both units are very easy to use.

Ive installed a bunch of the AR-7000's and havent had one come back yet, so far they seem to be very reliable and id assume the 7500 is the same way(hasnt been out long)

I just bought the KD-AVX1 and so far i LOVE it.
