I have the same deck, got myself the bypass module off ebay for like 10 bucks and worked like a charm, the only thing that truly bothers me about this deck is there no scrolling of text if a song/artist/whatever is too long, it just cuts it off.
This is what I'm using and like I stated earlier, works great with my Nano but not my ITouch 3rd gen. That was one of the main reason why I bought this since my ITouch has more music videos then the Nano. Perhaps the HU needs a firmware upgrade, waiting to hear back from Pioneer.
Hrmm... I have the ipod touch 1st gen I think and that works fine--good luck on the 3rd gen. I hope Pioneer gets back to you soon. Let us know what happens :)
After doing some research, found out that ITouch 3rd gen will work as long as its version is 4.0 or below where mine is at 4.2, hopefully Pioneer will have a firmware upgrade for it but I'm not going to hold my breath, lol!
Was able to figure it out, where I can control/view my video library of my Nano thru the the radio, it's the opposite with the ITouch, need to select APP on the radio then browse thru the device to play the videos. It's a little more work but it does work.
Ahhhh okay. I misunderstood then, I've been wondering what the App feature does. Glad to hear it worked out :)
I read somewhere that you can scroll the text by pressing and holding on the text for 2 seconds, havent tried it yet though
Hrm I'll try that on the way to work today.
nate- you have the 4300 now? says your sig?
I watched/listened to Atlantis - The Lost Empire on the way to work today  It looked HD-ish and the 4300 handled it perfectly. Looked amazing. The resolution they list... it looks like thrice that. :) I like this thing more every day.
Have you noticed a sound quality difference between the iPod and SD card/flash drive? I certainly have-
(you do have the optional iPod cord, right?)
I've tried both of them and did noticed the SD card is not as good as the IPod but still good enough, one thing bad about the IPod, once you're done driving, you need to disconnect it or else it ***** the juice out of the battery, well that's what Pionner are saying.
i really need to get me a 32GB SD card. so i can pretty much retire my CD's. I should get two, one for movies and one for music. make my drives to NY much better.
anyone know if you can use your own wallpaper and how?
