This is one sweet setup....I thought about going this route on more than one occasion.
This unit was from a while back, so no iPod or MP3 compatibility. It does have the option for an auxillary input through an IP-Bus adapter.

It's limited to switching tracks up and down, fast forwarding through a track, pause, repeat, and shuffling the songs within the playlist it's on. It will not switch playlists or search. So basically I pick the playlist I want to use and hook up my phone to the adapter. I do not know if the case will be the same if the older Pioneer iPod adapter is used with this setup.
