The new Radioactive subwoofers were just added to the website today. So I thought I would share pics. These retail for $200 for the 10" and $220 for the 12"
The “ultimate SPL performance on an affordable price level”. That has been the main target when Ground Zero developed the new Low-Bass subwoofers in the Radioactive line. As a result, four new models are now ready to be launched.
The new GZRW 10" driver comes in 2x2Ohm and 2x4Ohm versions. (GZRW 10D2 and GZRW 10D4) and features a real high power 2.5" copper voice coil moved in a with a heavy double magnet motor. The heart of the two GZRW 12" Versions (GZRW 12D2 and GZRW 12D4) is even a bigger 3" copper voice coil.
Out of all further improvements to their predecessors, it is worth highlighting the reinforced
non-pressed paper cone which could be weight-optimized again for higher efficiency. The cones are stitched to the U-shaped high-roll sandwich surround with yellow thread. The new steel baskets allow furthermore excellent ventilation for best cooling and low back pressure. And last but not least, all four new models are equipped with large Polycot spiders to guarantee high linear excursion.
The new Radioactive Woofers are really versatile in usage. They do work well in small sealed, ported and even band pass enclosures which allows variant applications.
