Des, I know that our Reference line products are expensive in most peoples opinions, but those items are not meant for the average consumer, they are designed with the high end competitor in mind.. However if you take the time to compare individual items to other brands you will see that our prices are very competitive.

We will not make a point to continually compare our product and prices to other brands but just to help people see the comparison you mentioned, I will show a few examples today. Also, remember these prices are MSRP, dealers are allowed to sell an item are what ever cost they are happy with.

Our Radioative 300X, rated for 500 watts RMS, MSRP 178.00
JL Audio 10w3, rated for 500 watts RMS, on Jl.com for 259.00

Our 12" Hydrogen and 12" radioactive D4 are also both rated for comparable RMS and have a lower MSRP than the JL W6 12.

    when you look at amplifiers,

Our Radioactive 1.600 retails for MSRP 356.00......
JL Audio 750/1 HD is 699.95 on JLs website.........Both of these amps are "small footprint" amps, power is close that is why I chose them.

Our Hydrogen 1.1200 has an MSRP of 683.00
JL Slash 1200.1 is 1199. on JL.com, at that price you could buy our Plutonium 4000 mono block.

From the above representation, I think our prices are very competitive. Again, we do not look at anyone else's prices when we set our own prices. We set our prices with the goal of being affordable for the product line/specs. We are confident that our offerings will make our consumers very happy with the performance/price, but we also realize that not everyone will feel that way. Ground Zero is not well know here in the US, but they are not a small niche brand either. They are well known throughout Europe, Asia, etc and are very well respected, having won numerous SPL titles in DbDrag, Emma chamionships, and EISA awards.

Des, if you are ever interested in a product, contact me directly and I will work with you to get the best possible price, I hope you realize now that our prices are in fact competitive.

    Brandon

So what's the warranty like when somebody actually runs your "6000W" 3 inch coil woofer on a 6000W amp?

    Re: Product list with MSRP

Audio Phil, unfortunately your post war deleted before I could quote you. However ; what I do recall is you stating that our MSRP is "ridiculous" and that the previous "distributor out of Florida advertised the 15XQ at 1/3rd" of our price. That's false, as can be seen if you visit the old website. That sub he has listed at 1250.00. Do you know why he is no longer the distributor? Are you aware that every price posted is approved by Ground Zero? Or that we negotiated much lower prices than they originally wanted to have here?

    I posted earlier that we will not constantly defend our product or pricing against other manufacturers. However for the sake of offering some more comparisons;
Our plutonium 1.4000 has an MSRP of $996.00, another very popular brand has their 5k advertised for over $1,300.00
I'm not sure who to compare our 15XQ to or our other Plutonium subs for that matter. What I do know is that we have been contacted by people who are actively competing with B2, since you mentioned them, and they are tired of blowing voice coils, struggling to get replacement parts etc. That won't be an issue with us.

You don't have to be a "baller", lots of equipment that you could run without breaking the bank.

Do you have a reason to doubt the product? Look around the world and you'll see that it is a proven product, many times over.

No offense, but so is Dynaudio and they don't charge $2K for a pair of 4" mids. Rainbow comes close with the Reference line, I'll give you that. There's no way that raw materials cost a fraction of the asking price. Plus, I see a significant flaw in pricing logic when you step up from a $400 pair of components to a $1300 pair of components. I understand you're attempting to thwart the concept of diminishing returns, but that's too much of a gap, my friend.

LOL. This isn't launching a new company. GZ has been around a while and from what I can tell a lot of the woofers are actually assembled in Europe (would hope the high end components are as well?)

At this point I'm sure they're happy with their pricing and IDK why people are complaining about it. IMO it's a smart move to have a super elite premium line... whether or not it's 2000$ better than the 400$ next model down, some chump will always pay the extra 2K just to feel elite.

At this point I'm sure they're happy with their pricing and IDK why people are complaining about it. IMO it's a smart move to have a super elite premium line... whether or not it's 2000$ better than the 400$ next model down, some chump will always pay the extra 2K just to feel elite.
You have a point, though that price jump wasn't to the top of the line, but I guess that's just my perspective. I still cringe every time I look at what guys like Woofers want for the Focal Be and yet they still sell. Assembled in Europe or Cambodia, it matters to me far less than whether or not the company owners invested in a solid buildhouse.

GZ, I wish you the best, but I don't think CA is your target market.

    Re: Product list with MSRP

Guys, the prices are what they are. We did our best to get them as low as we could for the states. If we went off a straight conversion to the Euro, the prices on everything would be higher. When we want to talk about the Reference speakers, well they are hand made in Germany, sold in matched pairs. The standard Plutonium and Nuclear components are manufactured in Germany also. We did not bring in tons of these high end lines, knowing they will not be a big mover. We did bring them in for the select few that want a top notch product that is different than what the US market can supply currently and our possible sponsored competitors.

There is not much to compare the high end stuff from Ground Zero to. I think the rest of the product lines will do really well for their price points.

Also, please remember that these are the full manufacture retail prices, dealers have alittle leeway on the price.

If you are using the product in its intended application, we will always honor the warranty. People from the rest of the world do so, and their is not any problems.

So basically you'd warranty it surviving a 6KW burp, but if someone puts in their favorite (insert no-talent 80 IQ rapper who's bass line is a clipped 0dB sine wave here) CD in and tries to play a few tracks at full power to impress their buddies they're going to be paying for their own recone kit?

Speaking of which are recones a cartridge style or raw parts? Can you sell loose parts? Lot of market for softparts that can take a lot of abuse.
