It wouldn't really matter what kind of box you had if you don't have much of a system. Bandpass is kind a difficult for what ya got.
I have owned 2 bandpass boxes and worked with a couple of othrers. Maybe someone with more experience in bandpass can answer this better than I can, but from my experience I found that a system the size of yours will play louder in a bandpass box than it would in a sealed or ported enclosure. Generally, bandpass boxes do play a little louder and are a little more DB efficiant watt for watt. As for building a bandpass, I wouldn't try it unless you have a very good manual to follow or if you really know what your doing.
