    Does speaker wire matter?

I was wondering if there is a difference in not only speaker wire, but power wire. Are there good quality wires, and also poor quality wires? Or will any wire do the job? I know some RCA cables can be good or bad, so is it the same when discussing power and speaker wire?

    Re: Does speaker wire matter?

basicly wire is wire, but if you want to get technical, wire with more thinner strands is better than thicker strands, and Oxygen free copper is claimed to be better, but as soon as you cut or crimp the surface isn't oxygen free any more...

Uhh... higher strand count will sound the same as a lower strand count, the only advantage to additional strands would be making the line more flexible...
