Hi, i just ordered Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP and it has a spectrum analyzer, my old pioneer HU didnt have one.
i *think* the spectrum analyzer is a bar graph display the "moves" (adjust accordingly) to the music. kind of like the moving bar graph when you use Winamp. is this correct? :uhoh:

its a cheap RTA (real time analyzer) or a 'spectrum analyzer' - basically like you said in a nutshell, it graphs the entire band of sound in DB's so you know whats louder than the rest by playing pink noise (all frequencies at once).
i dont know how good it will work for you. but meh. i need one :(
well, the only reason i want one is because it looks cool. i like seeing things "move" with the music. haha

i went to the link on your site. your custom made 15" home theater subwoofer running off 1400w
did you get those parts custom machined? or did you take apart numerous subs and made a frankensub?

It was a custom build from TC Sounds...I bought it second-hand from a guy who has the hook-up :)
