newbie needin help

hello fellow audiophiles - im new to the boards and car audio in general. I had a few questions about what i should do with my new equpitment if someone could help me out.
I just bought a pair of Infinity Kappa 62.5i 6" coaxial speakers for the front of my car, Infinity Kappa 692.5i 6x9s for the back, Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1D 12" dual voice coil subwoofer, Kenwood 7 channel eq, MTX audio Thunder 6152 Amp (for sub), and 36sq ft of Dynamat Extreeme. now i have a good amount of money left for the head unit (looking at the pioneer premier DEH-840MP) and for my sub box, i thought Q-logic looked nice.

the car is a sweet *** 68' Plymouth Fury - in short, a boat.
can get pictures for any interested lowrider fans.

What kind of help do you need? It looks like you have everything set, just hook it up. Is that your first system? If it is it will sound pretty good.

just need help choosing the head unit and wondering what sub box to get since i dont want to hassle with building my own. the one other thing i needed help with was im not really sure how to hook up my DVC sub to the two channel 325w amp.

and yes it is my first system.

oh - one last thing. for mounting the front speakers i have a bit of a problem... there aint enough room in the doors for mounting there due to the window gizmos, and where kickpanels would be installed there are air vents.
any ideas?

what type of box do u want? ported? sealed? also, what do u want, good sound quality or just a good loud boom?

i want to get a sealed box that has about 1ft cu volume

I would definately say that Q logic makes a great box. Go w/ that and you should be happy. I'd say get the Type 1 sealed

Headunit I have an Alpine 7874 which is the lower or the lowest of them but I would go with either the alpine or pioneer premiere. As far as the front speaker I have no idea. If you are not familiar with building your own box, you might want to try q-logic but I would build my own.

Ok as for your mounting dillema,

Is the inside of this car completly redone and have a nice look to it?? If so find the person that did the interior and have them make you a face small plate to screw into the door. You probably dont really need more than a 1/2" more space so the magnent dosent hit anything. The reason for the person that did the interior is so you can have the face plate carpeted/vinyled to the color of the cars interior. Or you can do it yourself, or you can have a plywood face plate sticking out a bit Either way good luck, you dont wanna give those speakers up if you can use them!!

As for the headunit look into alpine they are the equivalient of GOD

dude that is pretty tight that u start with buying speakers and end with the Hu usually it is the other way around. I wanna see some pics of yo car 68 fury kiks asssssss.....

I strongly suggest getting an amp on those fornt speakers and maybe on the rear as well.
