Tuning your car tutorial and speaker reviews

    http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...ic.php?p=46#46

Basically, step by step how to tune your car using a mic and pc based software. Also some comments on why "one size fits all" passive crossovers don't work, and the importance of equalization

Very cool! If only the software/hardware didn't cost $300+....

I bought a Behringer ECM8000 RTA mic for $50 and you can get M-audio mobile USB pre-amps on ebay for around $100. Using these with a laptop you have a pretty accurate RTA (I'm hoping). My mic and pre-amp get here in a few days so I'll report back if the results are positive.
