does peel + seal go bad??

About 3 weeks ago i installed some peel and seal in the front of my headliner where all the rattles were. most of the area is 2 layers, but i have up to 5 layers in small sections where the headliner rests on the overhead console cause that rattled a ton.

well today i did alot of driving and my headliner/overhead console started rattling again. whats the deal?

    thanks for your time

Re: does peel + seal go bad??

P&S is rated at really low heat temperatures. So, when it heats up it fails. But if you fail to apply it properly it can fail in cold weather as well. If you just laid it up there using the natural stickyness, then the cold weather can peal it down. You should lightly heat it before applying.. or as the accord guy said... use eDead.

    No, I won't re-upload the Big3 pictures. Don't ask.

Re: does peel + seal go bad??

i usually put it in the oven for about 5-10 mins before i applt to get it nice and warm and sticky.

But peel and seal is not meant to fight gravity.

    What they said. X2.

Peel & seel can fight gravity, but you have to do it right. Like MonteCarlo, I used a salamander heater to literally melt the tar underside before I stuck it on there. Hasn't come off yet, and it's lining my trunk lid upside down
