    kenwood any good?

I just bought a Kenwood KDC 6015 on ebay and was curious to how good or sucky this thing actually is. All of the features look good on paper...But I want to know if they are REALLY a good deck.

Obviously you have never heard a Excelon. To me they are probably the best decks available. The SQ is great, they never skip, tons of features, reads BADLY SCRATCHED CDs without a problem, 4.5 volt preouts, etc... Ive had a Excelon x815 for over a year now and the only time i skip is when i hit train tracks that are like 15 years old and havent been patched. It played a Sublime CD that had been under my seat for over 6 months (stepped on repeatedly). The SQ of the Excelons is phenominal, great internal crossovers. They sound alot better than the Alpines.

I brought a cd to the good guys, using the same amp and speakers I listed to e-40 and the click on both the kenwood excelon kdc-x917 and the alpine cda-7977. I thought the alpine sounded slightly better. Although kenwood would have been my second choice.
