EQ's and Sound Processors?
Do EQ's and/or Sound Processors actually do that much. I just have a palin system at the moment, but looking to boost SQ and mainly SPL up.
Thanks to anyone who can help

Good eqs and x-overs are parramount to ANY SQ system. First and eq makes it possible to tune your acr for a flat response OR to your liking. As for X=over they are needed to selectivly divide the signal to the correct drivers an different slopes make tuning all the better. Most SQ type system use 30 band 1/3 octive EQs to tune the sound. With 30 bands you can never do it by ear as there is way to many knobs to adjust. For SPL x-over are important but EQs are not as you will just be playing tones recorded on a track. The only way to get more SPL is tune your box to your cars note while adding more subs and power along with strengthening the cars body with concrete and thick plexy glass.

epacenter by audio control is very nice and you can gain a lot of dbs from it, espcialy if you have big subs.
