    do i need anything else for power?

    will i need to buy a new battery/another battery/new alternator/capacitor when i get my system? im getting 2 12" L7's and they'll be powered by a hifonics bx1500d. so will that amp drain my battery real bad, if so what should i get so it wont? i drive a 2000 mercury mountaineer. thanks

    you should be fine, that amp is a current hog though.

    first off make sure you have thick enoguh wire going to your amp, like 1/0 guage. if you have electrical problems then do a big 3 upgrade http://forum.sounddomain.com/ubb/ult...c;f=5;t=007801
    then new battery if needed, and last a HO alternator. do not buy a capacitor because they simply do not work

    that suv should have a big enough alternator for that system.

    Big 3 first, then HO Alternator then Battery IMO. Bigger Battery just adds more strain on the OEM Alternator.

    my grand cherokee with all the electrical crap it has in it, only has a 90 amp alt. granted his suv is newer, but what he has to do is hook it up and see if he has electrical problems and go from there
