    finally done new stereo install w pics

    well after weeks of meeting up with my friend Jeff we finally finished my stereo late last night. It was well worth the wait. it sounds soo nice and the sub wangs hard.

    Specs:
    Alpine 7894 Headunit
    Elemental Design Comps
    Stock rears
    Elemental Design Nine.2 for comps
    Hifonics Brutus bx1500
    Resonant Engineering 12" XXX in 3.5cu tuned to 28hz

    had to be with such a low tuning. i bet it does sound nice and its a clean install. i wouldnt have messed with the gain knob for the hifonics but to each his own. nice install, nice system, hell, nice everything!

    i installed the gain upfront so at night i can turn the sub all the way down and still keep the tunes goin

    thats definatly a good idea. i just turn my sub level on my alpine to +0 and it quiets it down a good bit. just make sure you mark off where your gain is suppose to be set at or remember wheres its suppose to be. dont wanna invite "Clipper" to the music party

    i have it set at the 1/2 mark and depending on the music im listening to i may turn it down, but never up its loud as hell as is.

    It looks like your amps could get mighty hot being sandwiched between the seat and box like that. Hopefully you wont have any problesm with it. Also is that a matrix?

    i plan to but not till spring. i wanna get through the winter first. then ill be doing springs, 19"s, struts, sway, etc
