uhhh, lets see.....Its going to pound very hard....lol
Killer amp, and subs that love alot of power sealed......If I was to do a Kicker
system it would consist of exactly that, and contrary to the non-SQ having L7 BS,
the 10's sealed will give you a nice amount of it as well if you go on the smaller side of their sealed applic. recommendations

Port it, IMO kickers are worthless sealed. Great subs, great amp, may rethink the box.

Sealed kickers are far from crap sounding in a sealed enclosure. Might be better sounding subs out there sealed but that doesn't mean they are crap.

    Re: Kicker System (sound)

    All depends on everyones ears...
Ported w/ L7's will ALWAYS be louder. But if you want that "sq" (which L7's don't have much, as I was a previous owner of 2 15"s), then sealed will be on your side.

    Re: Kicker System (sound)

if they dont sound good you didnt put them in a big enough box, or you bumped the bass too much .707 box sounds smooth. i built at least 4 systems like this never had a complaint

    Audison LRx 3.1 MT

    Re: Kicker System (sound)

I just personally think you're wasting an L7 in a sealed box. I've heard countless setups with L7's (it's all people buy around here I swear), and I've never heard one that I like sealed. I've found that low tuned ported has sounded the best (IMO), and that sealed gets nowhere NEAR as loud as ported with this driver. In all aspects of sound reproduction, sealed has blown to me...but give 'er a try I reckon.

    Re: Kicker System (sound)

If the box is ported it has to be made bigger right? I only have about 13 1/2 inches or sp of with i can work with and prob 20- 30 inches in depth to work with to be able to place my amp were i want it. The box is goign to be between my two bucket seats in my truck.

    Re: Kicker System (sound)

I just recieved one of my Kicker L7 12's today and I plan on running it sealed for a while. Once I save up enough $$$ to buy a second L7 I'm going to run the second one in the single sealed box for a while *to break it in* and then I'm going to build a ported box for the two of them. Would 35hz be good?
