    anyone good at porting/tuning boxes?

Im planning on making a box soon for my jeep. my max dimensions are 32.5 inches wide. 18.5 inches tall. and about 27 inches deep. I wouldnt mind using up those dimensions bacause i currently can only hold a pair of shoes anyway.

my main reason for making a new box is so i can have a ported box. i was planning on using some pvc pipe as my port tubes as well...

my question is, if i make a box using the dimensions i listed above, what diameter/length/ and how many ports would i need. im aiming more for sound quality, but dont want to sacrifice volume (at least as loud as my sealed box)

i also heard that is a good idea to covor your box with ducket tape before the carpet to add some db's, should i do this as well?

if your bored, a diagram using ms paint(or similar) would be great.

    thanks for your time

Re: anyone good at porting/tuning boxes?

I am unsure about wattage, but im using two mtx 8302 amps, and two mtx 15" 8000 subs. one amp per sub.

also, can it be one open box inside, or do i need to make chambers and such?

    thanks again
