New Guy with a Few Questions

Hows it going everyone, new guy to the board. I have a few questions, I was interested in getting some new speakers for my car it is a 94 honda accord and I currently have 6.5's all the way around with alpine dddrive component speakers up front and infinity reference speakers in the back. I was looking into getting some re components but was curious what everyone else thought.

Also I am just using 4 guage wires with no alt/ battery or BIG 3 upgrade and was curious if that would make a difference if I did any of the following. I do get dimming lights but it is not that bad. I have the following in my car.

    Apline 9815 Headunit
Re Audio - XXX 12 In a ported box
    Re Audio - 36.1 Amp - 1800 watts RMS

Also I was curious to where I could find any digital volt guages.

Re: New Guy with a Few Questions

You're in Las Vegas - I'm sure you could swing by the RE shop and take a listen to the components sometime. If you like them and they're in your price range, go for it. I'd suggest listening to as many sets as possible that are in your price range, just to get an idea of what's out there and what you do and don't like to hear from your speakers.

If you're not having any major problems, I wouldn't worry about it too much. However, I'd still do the 'big three' and see if it makes any difference. My next step would be to upgrade to a high output alternator if you start running into problems.

Digital volt gauges can be found at Summit and Jegs I'm sure. Dakota Digital might work for you.

    I agree ^^
If you feel your car is struggling too much with the system, dont do a quick fix, look into a new alternator for your car. Be sure to ask about what RPM it puts out the amperage though. Sometimes it can be misleading, they may put out 300amps or whatever, but at like 3500 rpms.
