    Speaking of Sound Deadener!!!!

Anyone on here got any good ideas for unique locations for Sound deadening placement?
I realize most guys pretty much Sound deaden Every surface they can get to..but anyone learned something or done something with deadener that is "uncommon". Like Deadening seats..glove boxes..Whatever...anything unusual that worked well.

I am going to Sound deaden this weekend and am going to have alot extra material so I want to deaden everything that may help quiet my "loud" truck or improve sound Quality

Express your true love for car audio - put the sound deadening on the OUTSIDE of the car.

    Re: Speaking of Sound Deadener!!!!

ok, i found a sound deadening material on ebay. i was just curious if its any good or not. its called "Black Mat". it looks like good stuff. 100 dollars for 100 sq ft. plus shipping. its 70 mills thick. how thick is 70 mills by the way?? supposed to be thicker than dynamat extreme.

    ebay item number - 5716696632

anybody think this is worth buying?? or should i just get the fatmat??

You should do the cabin side of the firewall (as much as you can reach). I think it would be a good idea to spray some of that spay-on bedliner stuff on the inside of the wheel well to combat road noise. Never tried it, but it sounded interesting

Yes doing the wheel wells will help a great deal with road noise. Also do the backside of any plastic that you can get off... like door panels, etc. You could do the firewall but I doubt it will stick with all the heat from the engin, do the cabin side of the firewall as suggested. Why not try putting some on your rims/hubcaps or whatever you got, you could start a new trend, they will be blinging yo ... j/k.

    Re: Speaking of Sound Deadener!!!!

WHEEL wells I like that..Does the Roof make a big diffrence? I know for keeping music inside it does but what about outside sound killing (my main issue with flowmasters)

BTW ALPINE-CDA9815..you have one of the nicest systems I see on this forum(atleast on paper) in my opinion
