    equalizers and/or x-overs

Can anyone recommend some good equalizers or crossovers for a decent amount of money?

    1989 GMC Sierra ext. cab:

    Sony F-5000 cd player
    (2) Infinity KAPPA 4x6 plates
    Sony GTX-4600 amp
    (2) SonicFX D15s in a 7 cube box, tuned to 35hz
    Hifonics Brutus 1500

One of my subs is inverted; it adds 10 DBs!

    Re: equalizers and/or x-overs

Hahaha......well, which one do you want, an EQ or a crossover?

If you want a crossover, does it need to be a 2-way, 3-way with bandpass, 4-way with two bandpasses?

If you want an EQ, do you want parametric or graphic? Preference on dash mount or trunk mount (applies to crossovers also)? How many bands do you want?

    Lots more info is need

    Re: equalizers and/or x-overs

haha, sorry. Im looking for a parametric eq, as I'm most familiar with those. As for x-overs, I'm using it for two amps, one for highs and mids, and the other for my subs. So im guessing thats 2-way?

EDIT: 5 bands would be ideal. And then as for mounting I guess that doesnt really matter, I'd rather it be where i can fool with it easily (not while driving of course, but in the frontseat area nonetheless).

    kinda off topic.
a 3 way crossover has low pass. most onlt go down to 40hz, willl that cut off the rest of teh fq range? im stumped,
its for some guy on another forum which doesnt get that much hits.
he gonna do a tri way for his 4ch amp. The low pass only goes down to 40hz.
    its a HK-597 like mine

    Re: equalizers and/or x-overs

I guess I don't quite understand your question?

Lowpass for the sub channel only goes down to 40hz?

What his he trying to accomplish? What speakers is he trying to push and where does he want them crossed at?

    Re: equalizers and/or x-overs

well if the lowest crossover point is 40 hz and it has no subsonic filter on it then it will only play the frequencies that are 40hz and below, but then being a three way crossover it also has a crossover point for mid and high too right?
