:confused:Does anyone know how to get U.S. radio frequencies on Japan Head Units?

I have a Japanese Head Unit that I got from Japan, but I seem not to get any US radio frequencies? Does anyone know how I can maybe change out the frequencies in where I can pick up US radio frequencies? I live in California, so if anyone knows of any place that does that conversion I would really appreicate it.

Sorry dude, the frequency bands are completely different. US FM is 88-108 MHz. Japan uses 76-90 MHz, Eastern Europe is 65-74 MHz. Radios are not compatible and as far as I know can't be "converted".

you need a 18MHz converter. this is how it works: if you want to listen to 102.7 FM, you would tell your radio to tune into 102.7 - 18 = 84.7 FM. the radio will display 84.7MHz on the LCD display, but you will actually receive 102.7MHz. no internal modifications on the radio are necessary. everything is done externally

go here to ask for the kit.
