    Pre-out Voltage, and Amps

Ok, so I've got a Pioneer Deh-P520 HU, and have been considering getting a Pioneer Deh-P430 HU (I think it looks better, plus it has plastic buttons vs. rubber buttons) and selling off the P520 for a few bucks. However, the only difference I noticed between the two is that the P430 has 2v preouts, and the P520 has 4v preouts.

So I got to thinking, what exactly is that extra 2v doing? Am I going to lose anything going down to 2v from 4v? Or is the 4v preout just a marketing gimmick from Pioneer?

Also, has anyone used an Alpine MRD-F752 amp? I've got an MRV-F450 now, and may be able to get the other VERY cheap, but am unsure whether to keep it or just sell it off for a quick buck. It would be used on 1 set of Pioneer TS-D170R's, 1 set Pioneer TS-D690R's, and an Infinity 1030W in a 1 cu ft enclosure.

    Thanks for any thoughts/comments!

    Re: Pre-out Voltage, and Amps

There are advantages to having higher preout voltages (ability to keep the gains on the amp lower, less chance of noise being induced, etc). But if you adjust the gains on your amp properly, chances are you won't hear a difference between 2V & 4V.

no, but thats not the reason for high preout voltages, its for when you are demoing your system with the engine off
