I have a quick question.
Now i know that its kinda a nice rule of thumb to use 4awg wire up to 1000watts and higher than that use 0/1awg wire.
I have a Hifonics NX880 amplifier right now. Now it is an 880Watt amplifer hence it being called the NX880. However that 880 watt rating is at 20hms load (220x4 @2ohms). I run my speakers at 4ohms. so the rating is 110x4 @4ohms.
How should this amp be counted at 880watts worth of power or 440 watts?
I plan on adding in another amplifier very soon so i was wondering about this.
Also. You can find out your amp draw with this formula. (I know its not exact). Total Watts / Current Voltage.
So if i were to put my amp into that formula would i say the watts is 880 or 440?
