Alpine Vs Kenwood

The last head unit i bought, after having a decent pioneer unit (which i was quite dissatisfied with) was a kenwood excelon head unit, and i quickly fell in love. it just seemed to have so many options and has been reliable for nearly 4 years now (and the unit wasnt even new to begin with!)
So now it is time to buy a new head unit, and i am seriously looking into the brand new kenwood excelon series, but i have also heard good things about the alpine units
SO BASICALLY, what i have been getting to this whole time is, which should i pay more attention to (assuming money isnt a problem) The top of the line kenwood excelon head units or the alpine top of the line head units (NOT dvd players or anything else just their high end cd/mp3 players)

top of the line alpine is a cda 9835...which has a nice face...the 9833 has the same specs except i personalize...and the face isn't as flashy...

if you want last year's model, you can take a look at the alpine cda7998, which is 399 at crutchfield but if you look around you can get 2 20 off coupons which brings the price to 360ish shipped...i would get taht, its 1.5 din and phantom face...very nice unit

i myself own a 9833, great sound quality...media xpander actually does work and is very nice

9833 is 317 shipped 9835 should be mid 400???i don't really know

i vote 9833 or 7998
