Is there a difference between o'reilley's superstart platinum and superstart extreme? Or autozone's version of an agm battery?

I think one is a agm and one isnt ..not quite sure on the model names ..autozone is duralast platinum and its made by johnson controls which bought out optima and those have gone downhill imo ..so my preference is the east penn manufactured ones

From what I gathered the platinum is a agm and the extreme is offered as both wet cell and agm

yes yes and yes. custom bracket that me and my friend are going to make to support 2 alts and yea im going to have to get new shocks on my car and we will see what else. trust me ive been looking into every aspect of this and ive got a pretty good idea how to do it. and if you know the car so well you know that for a second alt the only thing i will have to do it move 1 fuse box about 4 inches and it will free up alot of room for the custom bracket to put in 2 alts

Re: battery questions on a 7000rms amp

I'd recommend two runs of 2/0 rather than three runs of 1/0. That would be easier to run and less space for more current capacity. Also, don't go nuts with big three grounds in the front, because you need charge current running to the rear battery bank. Also, only ground the last battery in the rear bank and make sure you ground it with the same number of wires you bring power in with. Ergo... if two 2/0 power wires from front, then two 2/0 ground wires from the back battery.
