    alpine type r?

    Are the alpine type r's cea-2031 compliant? just wondering because I got those now.



    2007 Hyundai Azera Limited
    Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS
    Premium Infinity Sound System (Stock)
    Sundown Audio SD-2 8" 30.4 hz
    Kicker 4 channel amplifier on speakers
    Kenwood eXcelon monoblock amp (SD-2)
    Kinetik HC-1200 powering audio
    Kinetik HC-1400 front battery

    CEA or not doesn't really matter man. They are solid subs though and will take every last bit of power that brx2400 will throw at it.

    Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS bought used from vertex audio Mids/Highs amp: PPI Phantom 900.4 - bought from dragnix
    Front stage: 3 way active front stage with Massive Audio CKX 6x9 component. ckx 6x9 midbass in doors + DB drive pro audio 6.5 in the kick. Rear stage: Jbl ms62C(Its a van I need rear fill). Still NOT ENOUGH! SEND HELP!! 4 Pro Audio 10s in the future
    320 amp Singer alt almost installed. Just a group 31 deka in the back atm with big 3 finished.

    i like a lot of things that arent CEA compliant that can outright destroy CEA compliant stuff in every possible way lol.

    x2. OP, CEA compliance means virtually nothing, it's basically a sticker companies throw on their products to attract less knowledgeable customers by attempting to say 'look at us, our product is proven!'.

    You should be able to throw a good amount of power at your Type Rs - if you keep it clean, they should take it fine and will provide decent output and retain musicality in the right enclosure.

    CEA compliance confuses me for subs, anyway - I understand it means an amp can make power for compliance, but what does it mean for a sub? That it can take that power?

    Yup - if you set your gains correctly, you should have nothing to worry about.
