I'm gonna suggest the IDMAX for your substage as well. It's definitely my favourite driver I've ever come across. Plus they sound great even on low(er) power if you're not wanting to push that amp at 1 ohm.

Re: Help me out (Not a CA.com N00b)

Odds are Im going to give it all 1100+ watts @ 1 ohm. Would you still suggest the IDmax...I'm seeing 200-1000 RMS. Might be a bit too much?

    Good call on the 80.

The Imagines are very good. But they're designed to be run coaxially. The tweeter is loud as **** in component form (nearer to the listener and more on axis); but you have the 80 now so you can dial them back to taste.

The sub... man. I dunno what to tell you. The IDMax will handle that Memphis, but I'd personally step it up to a 3" coil sub and not have to worry about it.

Not sure...I'm going used on everything so far. I new IDMAX is more than I want to spend. The amp benched over 1200 RMS @ 1ohm so i have to keep that in mind too.

Another option that will get ou a very small box, yet big output would be to run a set of the sundown SA8v2s. Very nice drivers that will take 800 rms clean each all day. Two would be very nice in about 1.3 cubes

Re: Help me out (Not a CA.com N00b)

I'll agree with the HO when you're looking to get a good sub on a budget. It's very much in line with a W6 in terms of output and SQ. Other notables I'll mention are:

Incriminator Audio Flatlyne (should be about $350 each) - Underhung 3" coil and about 600W RMS rating. Would take the power from your amp well and leave plenty of headroom to cover rise and give your amp some breathing room. SOUND INCREDIBLE

DC Audio Level 3 - Very musical subs with a focus on low-end extension and output. Standard 3" coil and 900W RMS rating. Can definitely take more, should you decide to upgrade your sub stage. Subs are built by hand in Vegas. I saw a pair of used 10" Level 3 up in the classifieds somewhere (either here or on MAF) for 200 shipped each

SSA GCON - Another assembled-in-'Murica sub, it's a good all-arounder but needs a ported enclosure for sure. Another 3" coil, this time with a 750WRMS rating. Go for about $250 each on SSA's website. @denim should be able to tell you more about them if you're curious.

Any one of these subs should do well on the power you have to give and the space you're looking to keep. I would personally go with the Flatlyne, mainly because I'm already considering a build with a pair of these on 1.5k in a Tahoe.

    Deck: JVC KD-A95BT
Speakers: PHD FB mid, JBL MS tweets
Amps: Boston Acoustics GT-2125, Zed Minotaur III (x2)
Sub: 10" SSA ICON, IA Death Penalty 18" (coming soon)
